Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. How do you dispose of expired food and beverages sustainably?
We use automated depackaging equipment to separate food from its packaging. The food is diverted into animal feed, compost, or energy recovery (such as anaerobic digestion or waste-to-energy). Packaging materials are recycled whenever possible, ensuring minimal landfill impact.

  2. Can expired packaged food be donated instead of destroyed?
Yes, if products meet safety and regulatory standards. When donation is not possible, we use sustainable destruction pathways to keep materials out of landfills.

  3. What happens to the packaging after depackaging?
Packaging (plastic, cardboard, aluminum, etc.) is sorted and recycled through certified recycling partners. If recycling isn’t possible, it is processed into engineered fuel or other landfill-diversion alternatives.

  4. Why choose zero-landfill food waste destruction?
Landfills release methane, a greenhouse gas far more potent than CO₂. By choosing zero-landfill options, your company reduces greenhouse gas emissions and demonstrates measurable ESG performance.
